“To have a great goal and believe in its realization”

Nune Sarukhanyan graduated from the Faculty of Agronomy of the Armenian Agricultural Institute, then from the Faculty of Economics. She is a candidate of agricultural sciences, president of “Green Path” NGO.

Love for nature has always existed since childhood. My mother always told me that I woke up as early as possible to go to the garden and see how the tulips open ․․․ For me, dolls have always been replaced by a shower, a shovel, a plant ․․․ That was my interest, “says Nune Sarukhanyan.

She says that the family was sad when they learned that she had decided to become an agriculturist. “They thought that their daughter should become a doctor or a pedagogue, because I studied all the subjects very well at school,” she recalls with a smile. “My favorite subject was botany. is – ed.): There was no additional literature in those years, but I was always searching for magazines on these topics. ”

“When choosing a profession, I never thought about the financial side, while today it is the most demanded, highly paid profession. My father used to say at that time that a girl should not wear boots and fall in the fields ․․․ But I knew this was my way. I have always been brave, when I was studying, I was the first to answer the exams and I have always worked on myself, I am still undergoing many training courses, I think this is possible in every field. ”

My advice to all young people is not to focus on small problems, to have a big goal and believe in its implementation. That’s how I set up my counseling center. I had zero money at that time, but I knew that I would definitely achieve my goal. Today we have “Green Training Centers” in Tavush and Kotayk regions, we are finishing the works in Shirak region as well. My goal is for these centers to be in all regions, so that people have the opportunity to receive full agricultural advice.

“You have to believe in your own strength ․ Women have a lot to do in agriculture. You see, it is no coincidence that a large number of women are involved in green, organic agriculture. Women feel the plant, find means of care, struggle, and in all these processes, it is the same, before our eyes are always our children, husband, family, that is, they strive to create healthy, useful food. ”
