36.7% of candidates in party lists are women
One of the political forces left the races
Central electoral commission (CEC), on the session of June 10th, declared invalid the “Armenian Eagles: Unified Armenia” Party registration for participating in the RA NA June 20 early elections.
On CEC decision, the registration of Tigran Arzakantsyan in the “Democratic Party of Armenia” electoral list as candidate for MP, is declared invalid.
CEC declared Tigran Abrahami Davudyan’s registration in the electoral list of “Civil Contract Party” as invalid.
CEC declared invalid the registration for participation in the NA early elections of
- Ashot Avetisyan from the electoral list of “Sovereign Armenia” Party
- Arthur Mikayelyan from the electoral list of “Homeland of Armenians” Party and
- Aram Hovhannisyan from the electoral list of “European Party of Armenia”
based on the self-withdrawal applications submitted by them.
The above-mentioned changes in the structure of political parties have made no impact on the total representation of women candidates, which stands for about 37%.
Overall, after the mentioned changes, 2522 candidates are registered in the electoral lists of 25 political forces participating the elections, out of them 927 or women comprising 36.7%.

It should be noted, that on the CEC June 10 session, templates of ballots and the e-templates of 21 parties and 4 alliances participating in the NA early elections have been approved.
