It’s the biggest question in campaign politics: Will Hillary Clinton run for president again, in 2016?<\/h3>\n

\"\"Hillary Clinton, at Global Town Townterview at the Newseum in Washington, said she is \u201cnot inclined\u201d to run for president in 2016.<\/p>\n

On the eve of her departure as secretary of state, Hillary Clinton said Tuesday that she is \u201cnot inclined\u201d to run for President – but she did not slam the door on the idea, either.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

“Well, I am not thinking about anything like that right now,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cI am looking forward to finishing up my tenure as secretary of state, and then catching up on about 20 years of sleep deprivation.”<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Standing in the Newseum in Washington and speaking to students watching from around the world, Clinton was asked point blank at the \u201cglobal town hall\u201d about her future.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Elisa, from Germany, wanted to know, Will she run for President?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

“It is up to me to make a decision on my own future. I right now am not inclined to do that,\u201d Clinton said.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cBut I will do everything I can to make sure that women compete at the highest levels, not only in the United States but around the world.”<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Clinton spoke shortly before the Senate approved President Obama\u2019s nomination of Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) to replace her as the nation\u2019s top diplomat.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The vote was 94 to 3. Kerry could be sworn in as early as Wednesday. A welcoming ceremony is planned at the State Department for Monday.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Speculation about Clinton\u2019s future has reached new heights in recent weeks as she prepared to leave the State Department with sky-high approval ratings.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Supporters have even registered – without her approval – a “Ready for Hillary” political action committee to raise money for her election should she decide to run.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

At the global town hall meeting, Clinton filled in some of the details about what she will be doing in the months ahead, revealing that she will write a memoir.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

But, she added, \u201cI don\u2019t know what I will say in it yet.\u201d<\/p>\n
