The Central Electoral Commission drew up and signed the protocol of the results of the early parliamentary elections in Armenia, according to which the “Civil Contract” party received 53.91% of the votes, the “Armenia” bloc – 21.09%, and the “I have honor” bloc – 5.22%, which has not passed the threshold of 7%, but enters the parliament as the third force with the most votes by force of law.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The National Assembly of the 8th convocation will have 107 deputies. “The civil contract reaches 71 mandates, the” Armenia “bloc – 29, the” I have honor “bloc – 7. It is not yet clear how many of these seats will go to women, as a number of candidates from the CP majority list will be transferred to the executive. As for the opposition, the “Hayastan” bloc has stated that it will apply to the Constitutional Court to declare the election results invalid, and has not yet made a decision on receiving mandates in this regard.<\/p>\n

It should be reminded that “Civil Contract” nominated 34% women candidates, “Armenia” bloc – 31%, “I have honor” bloc – 35%. It should be noted that, according to the regulation of the Electoral Code, the representation of women in each faction cannot be less than 25%.<\/p>\n

According to the final results presented by CEC Chairman Tigran Mukuchyan, out of 2 million 595 thousand 512 eligible voters, 1 million 281 thousand 997 or 49.39% voted. 4593 ballots were invalid.<\/p>\n

According to the CEC, women make up 53% of the electorate, and women make up 55% of the total number of citizens who participated in the elections, i.e. women participated in the elections more actively than men.<\/p>\n
