The representation of women is the lowest in the \u201cArmenia\u201d Alliance (30.7%) and the highest in the \u201cAll-Armenian National Statehood\u201d Party (43.9%)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Women candidates in the electoral lists of political forces<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-46941\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.womennet.amwp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/party-lists-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"531\" height=\"501\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.womennet.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/party-lists-1.jpg 531w, https:\/\/archive.womennet.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/party-lists-1-300x283.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 531px) 100vw, 531px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>When forming the lists, the vast majority of political forces were guided by the requirement of the lower threshold of the law, giving the first female candidates the third line. In almost all the lists, there are three women candidates in the first top ten. Five women are represented only in the first top ten of the list of the \u201cFreedom\u201d Party, four women &#8211; in the first top ten of the \u201cHomeland of Armenians\u201d Party.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Only two lists of 26 political forces are headed by women &#8211; the first number of the electoral list of the \u201cUnited Homeland\u201d Party is Lusine Avakyan, and Karin Tonoyan is in the first line in the list of the \u201c5165 National Conservative Movement\u201d Party.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The second part of the national lists, intended for candidates who are representatives of national minorities, includes 14 candidates in total, of which 3 are women.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Only five political forces &#8211; the \u201cArmenian National Congress\u201d, \u201cCivil Contract\u201d, \u201cProsperous Armenia\u201d, \u201cSovereign Armenia\u201d and the \u201cArmenia\u201d Alliance included national minorities in their lists.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; <strong>WomenNet.am<\/strong> analyzed the electoral lists of political forces participating in the elections, according to the representation of women.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/res.elections.am\/images\/289.png\" alt=\"\u00ab\u0531\u0550\u0534\u0531\u0550 \u0540\u0531\u0545\u0531\u054d\u054f\u0531\u0546\u00bb \u053f\u0548\u0552\u054d\u0531\u053f\u0551\u0548\u0552\u0539\u0545\u0548\u0552\u0546\"><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The<strong> \u201cFair Armenia\u201d Party<\/strong> submitted to the CEC an electoral list consisting of 85 candidates, registration of one was rejected. As a result, the list published by the Commission includes 84 candidates, of which 34 are women. It turns out that in the list submitted by the Party, women make up about 40.5%.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The electoral list is headed by Norayr Norikyan, the Party leader. The first woman in the list is presented under the third line. There are three women in the first top ten:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>3<sup>rd<\/sup> line &#8211; <strong>Marineh Nurbekyan<\/strong>, \u201cFair Armenia\u201d Party, does not work, 1981<br \/>\n6<sup>th<\/sup> line &#8211; <strong>Adelina Shahinyan,<\/strong> \u201cFair Armenia\u201d Party, Secondary school No.1 of Ayntap community, school teacher,1987<br \/>\n9<sup>th<\/sup> line &#8211; <strong>Tereza Zakaryan<\/strong>,\u201cFair Armenia\u201d Party, does not work, 1985<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/res.elections.am\/images\/282.png\" alt=\"\u00ab\u0540\u0531\u0545 \u0531\u0536\u0533\u0531\u0545\u053b\u0546 \u053f\u0548\u0546\u0533\u0550\u0535\u054d\u00bb \u053f\u0548\u0552\u054d\u0531\u053f\u0551\u0548\u0552\u0539\u0545\u0548\u0552\u0546\"><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>The list of the <strong>\u201cArmenian National Congress\u201d Party<\/strong>, headed by <strong>Levon Ter-Petrosyan,<\/strong> the First President of Armenia, includes 101 candidates, of which 33 are women, that is, 33% of the candidates are women. The first female candidate takes the 3<sup>rd<\/sup> line, in the top ten the women are in every third place:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>3<sup>rd<\/sup>&nbsp; line &#8211; <strong>Inessa Gabayan,<\/strong> Non-party, Director of &#8220;Miezerk&#8221; LLC, 1957<br \/>\n6<sup>rd<\/sup> line &#8211; <strong>Anna Gevorgyan,<\/strong> Non-party, researcher at YSU, 1985<\/p>\n<p>9<sup>th<\/sup> line<strong> &#8211; <\/strong><strong>Karineh Yaralyan<\/strong>, Non-party, YSU lecturer, 1975<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/res.elections.am\/images\/285.png\" alt=\"\u00ab\u0554\u0531\u0542\u0531\u0554\u0531\u0551\u053b\u0531\u053f\u0531\u0546 \u054a\u0531\u0545\u0544\u0531\u0546\u0531\u0533\u053b\u0550\u00bb \u053f\u0548\u0552\u054d\u0531\u053f\u0551\u0548\u0552\u0539\u0545\u0548\u0552\u0546\"><\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li>The<strong> \u201cCivil Contract\u201d Party <\/strong>led by Nikol Pashinyan<strong>.<\/strong> There are 157 candidates in the list, of which 53 or <strong>about 34 % <\/strong>are<strong> women<\/strong>. And here the first woman takes the third line, there are three female candidates in the top ten:&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>3<sup>rd<\/sup> line &#8211; <strong>Lilit Makunts,<\/strong> CC, leader of \u201cMy Step\u201d faction, 1983<br \/>\n6<sup>th<\/sup> line &#8211; <strong>Lena Nazaryan,<\/strong> CC, Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly, 1983&nbsp;<br \/>\n9<sup>th<\/sup> line &#8211; Arpi Davoyan, CC, NA Member, 1985<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/res.elections.am\/images\/281.png\" alt=\"\u00ab\u0536\u0531\u0550\u0539\u0548\u0546\u0554\u00bb \u0531\u0536\u0533\u0531\u0545\u053b\u0546 \u0554\u0550\u053b\u054d\u054f\u0548\u0546\u0535\u0531\u053f\u0531\u0546 \u053f\u0548\u0552\u054d\u0531\u053f\u0551\u0548\u0552\u0539\u0545\u0548\u0552\u0546\"><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li>There were 101 candidates in the electoral list submitted to the CEC of the<strong> \u201cAwakening National Christian\u201d Party, <\/strong>registration of nine candidates was rejected according to the CEC Decisions, of which two are women. As a result, 35 or <strong>38%<\/strong> of the 92 candidates are women. The Party list is headed by Ara Zohrabyan, Chairman of the Chamber of Lawyers.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The first woman in the list was presented in the third line, but as a result of the rejection to register Vahagn Chakhalyan, the head of the Department of Psychology of the European University Karineh Nalchajyan appeared in the second line. There are three women in the top ten. The remaining sequence is like other political forces:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;2<sup>nd<\/sup> line &#8211; <strong>Karineh Nalchajyan,<\/strong> Party Member, Head of the Department of Psychology at the European University, 1954<br \/>\n6<sup>th<\/sup> line &#8211; <strong>Marineh Farmanyan<\/strong>, Party Member, CoL Member, 1980<br \/>\n9<sup>th<\/sup> line &#8211; <strong>Lusineh Sargsyan<\/strong>, Party Member, CoL Member, 1988<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li>The<strong> \u201cFreedom\u201d Party<\/strong> led by Hrant Bagratyan, the former RA Prime Minister, submitted to the CEC a list of 86 candidates. Registration of three of the candidates was rejected, of which one is a woman. As a result, 83 candidates left in the list, of which 33 or <strong>about<\/strong> <strong>40 %<\/strong> are <strong>women<\/strong>. The first woman in the list is ranked second, and there are 5 female candidates in the top ten:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>2<sup>nd<\/sup> line &#8211; <strong>Aida Batikyan<\/strong>, Party Member, works at the Yerevan State Conservatory, 1982<br \/>\n5<sup>th<\/sup> line &#8211; <strong>Shoghakat Mikaelyan<\/strong>, Party Member, retired, 1955<\/p>\n<p>7<sup>th<\/sup> line &#8211; <strong>Narineh Kroyan,<\/strong> Party Member, writer, 1961<\/p>\n<p>9<sup>th<\/sup> line &#8211; <strong>Lilit Hovhannisyan, <\/strong>Party Member, journalist, 1991<br \/>\n10<sup>th<\/sup> line &#8211; <strong>Nuneh Avanesyan<\/strong>, Party Member, medical doctor&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/res.elections.am\/images\/280.png\" alt=\"\u00ab\u054a\u0531\u054f\u053b\u054e \u0548\u0552\u0546\u0535\u0544\u00bb \u0534\u0531\u0547\u053b\u0546\u0554\"><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"6\">\n<li>The <strong>\u201cI have the Honor\u201d Alliance<\/strong> headed by Artur Vanetsyan, Leader of \u201cHomeland\u201d Party, former Director of the National Security Service, submitted to the CEC a list of 230 candidates, of which 80 or about <strong>35 %<\/strong> are<strong> women.<\/strong> There are no unregistered candidates. In the election list of the \u201cHomeland\u201d Party and the \u201cRepublican Party of Armenia\u201d, the first woman takes the third line, and there are three women in the top ten:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>3<sup>rd<\/sup> line &#8211; <strong>Anna Mkrtchyan,<\/strong> RPA Member, Assistant to Serzh Sargsyan, 1994<\/p>\n<p>6<sup>th<\/sup> line &#8211; <strong>Taguhi Tovmasyan,<\/strong> Non-party, Member of the National Assembly, 1982<\/p>\n<p>9<sup>th<\/sup> line &#8211; <strong>Tehmina Vardanyan,<\/strong> \u201cHomeland\u201d Party, Member of the Yerevan Council of Elders, 1988<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/res.elections.am\/images\/266.png\" alt=\"\u0544\u053b\u0531\u054d\u0546\u0531\u053f\u0531\u0546 \u0540\u0531\u0545\u0550\u0535\u0546\u053b\u0554 \u053f\u0548\u0552\u054d\u0531\u053f\u0551\u0548\u0552\u0539\u0545\u0548\u0552\u0546\"><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"7\">\n<li>The electoral list of the <strong>\u201cUnited Homeland\u201d Party<\/strong> is headed by Lusine Avagyan. She is the Founding Director of the \u201cLA\u201d LLC Consulting Company, Director of the \u201cARMIN\u201d NGO. The Party submitted a list of 88 candidates to the CEC, registration of two was rejected. Of the 86 candidates in the electoral list, 37 or <strong>about<\/strong> <strong>42% <\/strong>are<strong> women<\/strong>. The list submitted to the CEC includes 88 candidates, of which 29 or about <strong>33% <\/strong>are<strong> women<\/strong>. Registration of one candidate was rejected. As a result, there are 91 candidates in the list published in the official site of the Commission, of which 32 or <strong>about 36%<\/strong> are <strong>women<\/strong>. An electoral list comprised of 83 candidates is presented to the CEC, registration of two candidates was rejected. A list comprised of 93 candidates was presented to the CEC, registration of one was rejected.
