{"id":43136,"date":"2019-08-14T03:28:10","date_gmt":"2019-08-14T03:28:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/archive.womennet.am?p=43136"},"modified":"2019-08-26T03:14:10","modified_gmt":"2019-08-26T03:14:10","slug":"havasar-maraton","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.womennet.am\/en\/havasar-maraton\/","title":{"rendered":"\u00a0\u201cEqual Marathon\u201d ahead of local self-government elections"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.womennet.amwp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/TIM-maraton-min.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;Equal&#8221; campaign is launching a series of visits to communities where community leader or council member elections are expected ahead of the September 29<sup>th<\/sup> &nbsp;local government elections.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The tour will start on August 13<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp; and end on August 17<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the initiative is:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Ahead of the local self-government elections, visit all communities in the Republic of Armenia where elections will take place and, where appropriate, talk to community members about the need to actively participate in local government elections, stress the importance of equality # women and # men, and community issues, encourage women to participate in # LOCAL processes and nominate themselves.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>TIMETABLE<\/p>\n<p>August 13<sup>th<\/sup><\/p>\n<p>11: 00-13: 00 Gegharkunik Region, Gegharkunik Community<\/p>\n<p>15: 30-17: 00 Gegharkunik Region, Lchap Community<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>August 14<sup>th<\/sup><\/p>\n<p>11: 00-13: 00 Aragatsotn Region, Sgharshik<\/p>\n<p>15: 30-17: 30 Aragatsotn region, Ghazaravan<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>August 15<sup>th<\/sup><\/p>\n<p>11: 00-13: 00 Armavir Region, Tandzut<\/p>\n<p>15: 30-17: 30 Armavir Region, Nor Caesarea<\/p>\n<p>11: 00-13: 00 Tavush Mregion, Khashtarak<\/p>\n<p>15: 30-17: 30 Tavush Refion, Sarigyugh<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>August 16<sup>th<\/sup><\/p>\n<p>11: 00-13: 00 Ararat region, Mrganush community<\/p>\n<p>15: 30-17: 30 Ararat region, Artashat<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>August 17<sup>th<\/sup><\/p>\n<p>11: 00-13: 00 Lori Region, Yeghegnut Community<\/p>\n<p>11: 00-13: 00 Lori Region, Lusaghbyur Community<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The initiative is being implemented within the framework of the Women in Politics program.
