“Democracy Today” NGO was for sixth time awarded the “International Award for Young Women’s Peace and Human Rights” on June 7th<\/sup>  reported.<\/p>\n

This year the representatives of Colombia and Iraq won the Peace Prize. “Baghdad Women’s Association\u201d member Barva Mohammed Ami was awarded for increasing women\u2019s role in the peace and reconciliation processes  in Iraq. Katherine Ronderos representing Colombia, was awarded ” International Award for Young Women’s Peace and Human Rights” for increasing women\u2019s role in in peace-building process.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Prizes were distributed to to the winners of “International Award for Young Women’s Peace and Human Rights” by the last year’s winners –  Qaeda Odate from  \u201cSyrian Women Association” (Syria) and Eliko Bendeliani from Georgia.<\/p>\n
