The recalculation is done after the elections On February 12 in Akhurik village. According to the CEC, irregularities affecting the results, were not observed. CEC secretary Armen Smbatyan said that the winning candidate’s votes increased by one.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s note that Akhurik operating mayor, nominated by the Republican Party of Armenia Gasparyan Varditer as a result of voting on February 12th<\/sup> received 262 votes, her only rival, independent candidate Hovhannes Poghosyan received 277 votes.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In an interview with WomenNet.am- V. Gasparyan, who is a member of the ruling Party, said that she had grounds to suspect that the “carousel” was done, that  the same person to voted several times, voter ballots were taken out.  It is not clear and she has not made a final decision on the plans yet.<\/p>\n

To observation that voter fraud is usually attributed to the ruling power and its representatives, Mrs. Gasparyan responded \u2013<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

“Well, our authorities want to seem omore Christian than they are. They  keep  the letter of democracy, and the opposition, represented by ANC, uses  the former methods of the 90’s.  I am sure that they were forgeries, the village is a small place, secret will not be kept there. The voting, was a fabrication”.<\/p>\n
