{"id":33377,"date":"2016-10-20T20:32:44","date_gmt":"2016-10-20T20:32:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/archive.womennet.am?p=33377"},"modified":"2016-11-08T21:29:11","modified_gmt":"2016-11-08T21:29:11","slug":"october2-result","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.womennet.am\/en\/october2-result\/","title":{"rendered":"October 2d &#8211; almost magical 11.2% of women participation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.womennet.amwp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/yntr-3.jpg\" alt=\"yntr-3\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As known, in municipal elections held on October 2d in \u00a0373 communities of Vayots Dzor, Gegharkunik, Lori, Kotayk, Shirak, Syunik regions 2676 male candidates and \u00a0336 women (11.2%) participated.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>According to the final data provided by the Central Election Commission to WomenNet.am- 1991 men and 251 women (which is 11.2%) were elected as council members.\u00a0 Prior to the elections women councilors were represented as 11.2% in the same 6 regions respectively.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Overall, the increased representation of women in the elections in Lori, Syunik, Kotayk and councilors.
