In recent years the number of divorces in Armenia has increased. This is according to the study results on “Reveals and Analysis of the causes of divorces in Armenia carried out by the National Institute of Social Research Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

“Deputy Director of the National Institute of Research’s” Garnik Nalbandyan told that the research has shown that divorce is based mainly on social and economic issues, interpersonal relations. In recent years, a new phenomenon – migration processes – has become dominant.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cThe migration process has become a serious cause for divorce. One of the spouses, of course, primarily a man leaving for work abroad, then either the connection is cut, or after the return resulting legal problems, or even they create a family in parallel there, which eventually leads to divorce, “says Mr. Nalbandian.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

He said the relatively high numbers of divorces are in Lori, Ararat and Armavir regions. “Analysis revealed that even families with 6 children divorce.\u00a0 Such cases, of course, make small percentage. Mainly those with one or two children divorce”, – said Mr. Nalbandian.<\/p>\n
