On December 11th<\/sup> Yerevan hosted the second annual \u201cActivate talks\u201d event of the United Nations Children\u2019s Fund, which had slogan \u201cKnowledge in the name of life\u201d and was dedicated to school safety. 6 speakers introduced the topic from different perspectives \u2013 Government, public sector, children, school leadership, as well as architecture and construction. The UN Children\u2019s Fund Armenian representative Tanya Radochay, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency situations Haykaram Mkhitaryan and RA Deputy Minister of Urban Development Armen Ghalaryan in their welcoming speeches highlighted the reforms of the sphere and stressed the importance of every citizen in risk reduction and creation of safe environment.<\/p>\n

\u201cActivate talks\u201d event format was developed by the UN Children\u2019s Fund in 2014 on the occasion of 25th<\/sup> anniversary of the Convention on Child rights playing a unifying role so that governments, civil society, private sector, academic institutions and others can discuss solutions to problems faced by the children who are in the most vulnerable situations.<\/p>\n
