As it is known, this year\u2019s Nobel Prize in Literature was awarded to the Belarusian writer Svetlana Alekseevich. The prize was awarded for \u201cpolyphonic sounding of the new prose and perpetuating the suffering and courage\u201d.<\/p>\n

Alekseevich is the author of several books, including \u201cWar is not a woman\u2019s face\u201d, which is based on interviews with hundreds of women who participated in World War II. She was one of the first to speak about war through women. Womennet.am has already referred to this book in the article \u201cNon female face\u201d of wars.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen women talk about war, they do not have what we used to read or listen to: how people heroically win or lose, what techniques or what kind of generals used to be. Women\u2019s stories are different and about different things. \u201cWoman\u2019s\u201d war has its colors, smells, interpretations and territory of its feelings\u2026its words\u201d, – wrote Svetlana Alekseevich in her book \u201cWar is not a woman\u2019s face\u201d, through which she tried to tell another story, female story\u2026<\/p>\n
