The contest was organized by \u201cReal world, real people\u201d NGO and Union of people with HIV\/AIDS living in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, supported by the UN HIV\/AIDS joint program.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Expert jury chose 3 works from the submitted ones and their authors got prizes.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Womennet.am congratulates the winners wishing them new achievements and success.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>P.S. According to the official statistics, from 1988 to December 31<sup>st<\/sup> of 2014 1953 HIV cases have been registered among RA citizens. Majority of HIV patients are male \u2013 69%, while female &#8211; 31%, children \u2013 2%. 53% of the infected people were in 25-39 age groups.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The highest number of HIV infection cases was registered among residents of Yerevan \u2013 667, which constitute 34,2% of all cases.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Shirak regions is in the second place \u2013 11,4%.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>HIV\/AIDS situation assessment has shown that estimated number of people living with HIV infection in Armenia is 4000.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p class=\"newstxt\">&nbsp; Today award ceremony of the contest of journalistic works dedicated to HIV\/AIDS took place in Yerevan.
