Increasing women\u2019s participation in the economy it is possible to significantly improve macroeconomic indicators, including GDP per capita, &#8211; says Head of Yerevan office of International Monetary Fund Tereza Daban Sanches, who represented benefits of women\u2019s economic empowerment for the development of the whole world and each country during her speech at the International Conference \u201cNew Development Perspective\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Speaker expressed her concern that although women make more than 50% of the world population their participation in the economy is lower than that of men. It refers not only to entrepreneurship but also employment in gerenal.\u00a0 Only half of capable women are involved in the labor market, whereas men\u2019s participation is greater.
