According to the United Nations, one of every three women on the planet will be physically or sexually abused in her lifetime. That\u2019s a staggering one billion women.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.womennet.amwp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/bilion-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This fact prompted a number of Armenian women activists to stage a flash mob event in Yerevan\u2019s Northern Ave in the framework\u00a0 global\u00a0 movement One Billion Rising for Justice\u00a0 organized on february 14 \/\u00a0\u00a0 V-Day.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.womennet.amwp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/bilion-6.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/>Anna Nikoghosyan from \u00a0&#8220;Society without Violence\u201d NGO, one of the participants in the Yerevan event, told : \u201cAll of us have joined to raise our voices against violence perpetrated against women and girls.\u201d She said the event was part of the campaign being staged today globally. \u201cDancing, as we are doing here is a form of struggle,\u201d the young activist said.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.womennet.amwp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/bilion-5.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe expect to inform people about violence, raise the matter, and resolve it as much as possible.
