“Tevanik.” a film about the Karabakh war through the eyes of children

 

This year in June, director Jivan Avetisyan’s film Tevanik has been named “the best foreign language film” in Hollywood International Moving Pictures Film Festival”.” The premiere in Armenia was held in 2014. Since its inception, has participated in numerous festivals and won numerous awards.

 

“Tevanik” is one of director Jivan Avetisyan’s films telling about the Karabakh war. It is about a day in the war zone of the village. The film consists of three parts, the dramatic story of destinies of the three teenagers Aram, Astghik and Tevanik – in which the authors tried to tell about life, love and self-sacrifice of people of the small village having appeared in the war.

 

All characters and stories of the film are real; the only difference is that occurred in different periods of the Karabakh war and in different places.
