“By endlessly distributing food, you will not be able to get people up,” says Marina Adulyan, president of the Bari Mama NGO, adding that people should be given the opportunity to work.
The main mission of “Bari Mama” NGO is to fight against child abandonment, but, as Marina notes, the war brought with it many other problems; and It is the duty of everyone to do the impossible to support the people and to rebuild the country.
“During the war, cooperating with both state structures and individuals, our non-governmental organization, like everyone else, supported the displaced families and the army. Then we realized that endlessly distributing food would not get them up. “This is how two ideas were born: the ‘Bari Kar’ workshop, where Artsakh women would work and learn to sew and we created rehabilitation services for the children living in the vicinity of Jrvezh community and for their mothers – psychologists, speech therapists, adaptive physical culture specialists,” says Marina Adulyan.
Marina regrets that when they distributed gifts or food, they received hundreds of applications a day from people who needed them, but after the announcement of setting up a garment factory, they received only 21 applications to work or study there, of which the project was implemented selection of participants.
“People may not have the feeling that everyone owes them. It can give you the opportunity to stand on your own. Thank you to all the people who realize that once they help, they will not change anything and support our initiative. “I thank the Aurora Humanitarian Foundation for becoming our good partner in programs related to the people of Artsakh,” said Marina.
