Mane Babayan “I think quality education is at the core of everything”

Mane Babayan has been nominated by the National Progress Party. She is the fourth in the proportional list, nominated by rating in the electoral district No 12, which includes Syunik and Vayots Dzor regions. She is a member of a party council, while she was not a member of any party.

Born in 1979 in Aghavnadzor village of Vayots Dzor, she graduated from secondary school and entered the Engineering University. She is a professional designer, an engineer. She graduated with honors with excellent progress in the IT industry. She has worked for a number of leading IT companies, now at Synopsys Armenia.

“In case of trusting our party, I will go to the National Assembly and introduce my knowledge and potential in responsible and honorable work for the development and awakening of our homeland,” Mane Babayan told WomenNet.am.

– I have always been active in the civil field since 2008, participated in many protests and movements.

I can say that I am well aware of the problems. In rural areas, these are mainly associated with poor agricultural conditions and lack of jobs. The first is the issue of youth employment. As a result of lack of employment, they leave for work abroad, and villages and towns are dumped day by day. This is a painful problem, the solution to which should be started right now. The next problem is the non-rational use of land, the absence of a free marketplace, as well as the availability of irrigation water, agricultural disaster, mainly hail, newest technologies, low interest rates, factories and price competition, investment and various issues. And the third is the absence of cultural, industrial, educational, sporting events and active life, which in its turn leads to the abandonment of villages and cities.

I think women should receive high-quality education, have a profession, be independent, societal, political, and cultural. The role of women in both public and political life has its clear, significant role and importance. Gender inequality is generally unacceptable.

As I am a beginner in politics, I am just beginning to take steps to speak about the resolution or difficulty of success, I only know that love to the homeland and the people will overcome all the difficulties and obstacles.
