A citizen who kidnapped children in a kindergarten demanded a former wife

A man with a knife attacked the “Manushak” kindergarten in Armavir province and took hostages to the staff and children to meet with his ex-wife.

Presenting the extraordinary incident in Armavir Kindergarten, the Investigative Committee details that the alleged perpetrator entered the Manushak kindergarten on Baghramyan Street in Armavir on October 30 and taken hostage to boy born on 29.01. 2015. The man hid the child with a knife threatening and demanding organise a meeting with his ex-wife. The latter works in the same kindergarten.

“As a result of measures taken by the law enforcement bodies, it has managed to neutralize the person who committed the alleged crime and to release the child unjustly. The boy has no injuries, “the Investigative Committee informs.

The factual data has been obtained that the man taking hostage in a kindergarten inflicted  knife bodily injures to his ex-wife who works in the same kindergarten as a tutor and his grandmother, who is the director of the kindergarten. Three people have been recognized as injured.

A criminal case has been instituted in the Armavir Regional Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the RA on the occasion of taking hostage child in kindergarten.
