“Proper and effective management should be the most important feature of a Community Head”

Jemma Harutyunyan, 72, tops the list of candidates for the AMASIA-ARPI bloc of councils in the December 5 local elections in the enlarged community of Amasia. In 2016-2021, she held the position of the community head of Amasia. By the way, she was the only woman who led an enlarged community.

Asked by WomenNet.am what she considers to be the most important achievements of her tenure, she answered that during those years she was able to implement a number of important projects in the community, using not only the community budget, but also subvention programs, cooperation with international organizations. She says that she considers it an achievement that during her tenure she has tried to contribute as much as possible to the activation of the youth and women of the community, as well as he has effectively cooperated with non-governmental organizations within the framework of various programs.
