From Ishkhanasar to Ishkhanasar. Mrs. Haykush’s shop-viewpoint
Mrs. Hakyush’s eyes are on Ishkhanasar from morning to night. The view of snow-covered Ishkhanasar from the window of his small shop in the center of the village of the same name. For years, she gained strength and confidence from the first rays of the sun spreading from there, now even the alarm of war is in silence…
They felt that anxiety for the first time in November 2021, more severely in September last year. Now they live everyday life, everyday thoughts and concerns are slightly different.
61-year-old Haykush Mkrtchyan, an accountant by profession, moved to Ishkhanasar with her family from the Angeghakot village of Sisian in the early 2000s. The son, Hunan, participated in the “Do-re-mi” competition. To secure a musical future for him, they sold their house and bought a cheaper mud house here. However, singing did not bring success to the boy, they stayed in Ishkhanasar, trying to make a living for the family by farming and animal husbandry…
The mother of four children first worked in the village chief’s daughter-in-law’s shop, then she got angry due to some circumstances and decided to create her own. It took a short time for her to prove to those around and even to her family that she can. The store has been working continuously for 14 years. is not unhappy. The villagers also seem to be satisfied with her. The breath of our digital and marketing times has not yet penetrated the village. trade relations are different here. If something is missing in someone’s house, they are sure that they can get it here, even if there is no money…
She says that the pastures were also burned by the shootings, and they will face the problem in the spring when the cattle are removed. According to Ms. Haykush, the border aggression shown by the enemy in November last year and September last year caused fear among the villagers, but there were no people who left the village. For example, they went down to the house of their son during the intense shooting. But after a few hours they returned. they would not leave the house, the place, the cattle without an owner.
And although Ishkhanasar is right under the nose of the mountain of the same name, under direct enemy fire, the village does not have border status. But Mrs. Haykush does not complain about that either.
