Heghine Bisharyan. “I have been the MP who has gone through the people’s vote and has served the people”

Interlocutor of WomenNet.am is Vice-Chairman of Rule of Law party, MP of several previous convocations of the National Assembly Heghine Bsharyan. She occupied the 3rd place in the party list, according to his rating system, was nominated in the previous elections, in her favorite, Shengavit-Malatia-Sebastia administrative district, in constituency No. 3.

It’s not the first time you are participating in the National Assembly elections, what differences do you see this time?

– It used to be a majoritarian electoral system, which I have twice been nominated in Shengavit community and I have to thank the voters in Shengavit community who gave me about 18 thousand votes each time. As for the existing rating system since 2017, then a disgraceful amount of money was distributed, and you well know who the winners are, at that time it was impossible to collect even one vote. But in any case, I have collected 2,000 votes in this area. Now I think there is a serious difference between the previous and this elections because there is no election bribe and there is no opportunity to falsify the results.

– What are your expectations from the upcoming elections?

– It has been a revolution that has yet to have an euphoria and it is clear that people want to voice their voice to the politician who made that revolution. The situation in the Euphoria society is not politicized yet, so voters think more soberly and calmly – an alternative to seeing. Let us not forget that at least 3 political forces must be represented in the parliament at the request of the Constitution and since the country is parliamentary, it is important for the literate people to pass to the National Assembly who will be able to hold the honor of our parliament not only in the country but beyond the country. I think it is necessary to go through such a mindset, but it is still worrying for me whether this will work. Will parties be put on the scale, who have proved their willingness to serve people, parties that will also serve the people in the future as they used to serve?

– What new ideas do you have for this election?

– As a change of government has taken place in the country, and the new government is willing to work to change the country, it is easier for our political forces to present our ideas, goals and programs that we have not been able to accomplish so far. Today, I think that a great opportunity is opened for Rule of Law and we are obliged to invest in our potential to change something in our country.
