Gender Gap Index-2016, inequality in Armenia was reduced by 67%

The World Economic Forum has published the 2016 Gender Gap global report (Global Gender Gap Report 2016), according to which Armenia is ranked among the 144 countries in 102th place, improving position in the ranking list compared to last year’s three points, when it was occupied 105th place among 145 countries.

 

 

It should be noted that the gender gap in 2006 is estimated by the World Economic Forum’s four key areas: economics, politics, education and health care. Figure actually reflects the difference between the potential of women and men in each of the areas mentioned. Rating value, which is calculated from 0 (inequality) to 1 (parity), a total of 0.003 was recorded during this progress. This year, the rating value increased by 0.662 compared to 0,669 last year. This means that gender inequality in Armenia was reduced by 68 percent.
