“The Young Women for Peace in the Caucasus “award nomination process for candidates launched

“Democracy Today” NGO announces that this year’s deadline for accepting applications for the the nomination of candidates seeking for the prize “The Young Women for Peace in the Caucasus” award is July 15^th of 2016.

Candidates can be represented by individual persons or groups. Self-representation of a candidate is not accepted. Before completing and submitting the application forms it is necessary to have the consent of the candidate. If this is not possible, please explain why you cannot get consent.

It can be submitted in Armenian, Azerbaijani, Georgian, English, Russian and other languages, but translation into English and / or Russian is mandatory.

Based on the reports of electoral commissions the board ”Women of South Caucasus for Peace Initiative” will decide the winner. Prize nominations (nominees) will be announced on August 15^th of 2016.

Let’s recall that “The Young Women’s Peace Award in the Caucasus” was founded for recognition of a key role of young women in peace-building,  prevention of conflict and exceptional leadership skills as well as the protection of human rights.
