Arpine Sahakyan: “Kindergarten problem is very serious for working mothers”
WomenNet.am held an Interview with Arpine Sahakyan, who is in the 4th place in the list of “Hayq” (Haykazunilar) party in Yerevan City Council elections.
She studied at YSU Faculty of History, worked for some time as a pedagogue, and in 2007 entered the Public Administration Department of the RA, completing it in 2009 and received a Master’s degree in Management. After graduating from the Department of International Relations at the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, she received a rank of specialist in international relations, specialist in conflict studies. Currently, she is the chief specialist of the International Economic Integration Department of RA Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan’s office.
In conversation with us Arpine Sahakyan noted that though the council elections are her first step in politics, she has decided to run, confident that she can gain knowledge and experience in making decisions about the prosperity of the city. To the question, what is the main message of her team to Yerevan residents, why should Yerevan residents choose their party, Arpine Sahakyan replies: “Our message is as follows: New assessment of Yerevan’s role, development of the city as a pan-Armenian capital”.
