Armenuhi Kyureghyan: “It’s important to be able to accurately assess the situation when dealing with any issue”

WomenNet.am’s interlocutor is Armenuhi Kyureghyan, candidate for ARF Dashnaktsutyun party MP, noticed by her sharp questions in the 6th convocation of NA. She occupies the fourth place in the party list and is nominated by the territorial list in Lori, No. 9 electoral district.

 

She is a mathematician by profession. At the age of 28 she defended her thesis, received a PhD in Physics and Mathematics and became the youngest female candidate in physics in Armenia, then Associate Professor of Informatics and Economic Mathematical Methods and Modeling at Vanadzor State University. From 1993 to 2000 she worked as a head of the department of benefits in Vanadzor social service and was well aware of the social issues of the city’s population. She began her career in 1997 as a secretary of the Vanadzor branch of the Association of Women with University Education, then Vice President and Leader. Since 2006, she is a member of the ARF Dashnaktsutyun, a political representative of Vanadzor’s Gugark Committee. She has three children – one boy and two daughters.

 

Among its program priorities, the party points out the establishment of social justice, ensuring a dignified life for every citizen and proposing programs aimed at raising the well-being of the population.

 

“We have a proposal to increase the regulatory role of the state to create jobs. The ARF considers that the social state is obliged to have a job creation program for each citizen. Programs that will provide young people with jobs after the education system will include programs aimed at providing disabled people with jobs in quota, programs aimed at addressing key demographic issues, implementing measures to promote the birth of the next child, promoting immigration and preventing emigration, enhancing pensions and benefits “says the candidate.

 

According to Armenuhi Kyureghyan, she has always struggled and will continue to fight so that women’s support quota increase, which is one of her most important issues not only her as a candidate for parliament but also for her party.

 

“We need realistic projects. When designing solutions, it is important to be able to evaluate the situation correctly. If you do not get your proposal out of the situation, you will not succeed, “she says, presenting her pledge of success.
