Ani Samsonyan: “I protected women’s interests in the Yerevan Council of Elderly, so will protect them in the parliament as well”
WomenNet.am interviewed Ani Samsonyan, a member of the Luys Alliance of Yerevan Council of Elders, who is the 7th in the pre-electoral list of the “Bright Armenia” party during snap parliamentary elections. She has also been nominated in Yerevan’s No. 1 constituency.
The factor of the person is important in the elections through the rating system, and in this respect all the opponents, their representatives can be unpredictable. The voter should not be convinced, the voter should evaluate your work and consistency in solving your problems. I am a member of the Yerevan Council of Elders, I have been dealing with Yerevan residents’ problems at the city level, and now I have a desire to present these issues to higher chairs.
The program priorities are the economy, the changes in the tax system and the code, which will greatly affect the investment climate. In this area, we have also paid attention to the support of small businesses, such as providing state support to SME companies, setting up a progressive system. We will introduce an insurance system in the field of agriculture, promote green economy as well as tourism in rural communities.
The Law on Local Self-Government Bodies, as well as the Law on Local Self-Government of Yerevan should be reformed. If elected, as a local government official, I plan to participate in those works.
