“You have to be persistent and lucky to meet people who believe in your idea”
“I have loved nature since I was a child and I have always been concerned about nature protection issues, so without hesitation I applied to the YSU Department of Ecology. “When I filled out the application, there were two vacancies left, and I was advised not to leave them blank and to mention the Agrarian University as well,” says Lusine. She says that at that time she made a clear decision that she would go to YSU in half a semester.
“But after a semester, I loved the university and my profession so much that that issue was off the agenda. I received a nominal scholarship, we started doing professional experiments in the greenhouse next to the university, it is true that the conditions were incomparable with today ․ “It was a dilapidated building with half-broken glass, but we were doing serious experiments, growing plants,” says Lusine.
11 years ago, Lusine came up with the idea of creating an “ORVAKO” company. According to her, she has always looked for solutions for building a closed circuit, when the waste of one production is the basis for another, she has succeeded. ORVACO’s activities are related to waste recycling. The company produces environmentally friendly, biologically active organic fertilizer obtained by recycling organic waste through California red worms and microorganisms.
Speaking about the company team, Lusine notices that of course it is difficult to manage, but she does it with love ․ “ORVACO is like a family, and last year we proved once again that we are a strong team. We had serious financial difficulties after the pandemic and the war, but everyone stood by the organization as one person and we overcame the crisis together. ”
According to Lusine, interest in agriculture has grown over the years ․ Almost every week a good agronomist is asked from different organizations, “in the world, in Armenia” the field develops, when a large investment is made, the demand for specialists grows.
“We also carry out different courses, people’s interest is incomparably greater than in previous years.
“I think in order to achieve the goal, you have to be persistent, successful in meeting the right people, thinking like you, believing in your idea. Just as the beginning of spring succulents is the beginning of sustainable growth, so in the world around us, from the very beginning, everything must be done to make it more stable, healthy and safe, that is the most important thing for me. You always have to think about what you can do to ensure stability and harmony in the world around you. ”
