Flora Vardanyan. “A drop pierces a stone…”

Diet bread made from whole wheat flour grown in Armenia, goat milk cheese made in Artsakh, handmade dolls and dried fruits, Armenian clothes… All this was gathered under one title by pedagogue-physicist Flora Vardanyan. The Facebook group created by her with the slogan and mission “For the sake of Armenian” has today become an active and multi-member platform for introducing Armenian producers and their products to Armenian consumers.

The aim of the group is to support the local producer, to inform the public about the products produced in Armenia, to reduce the consumption of Turkish products in Armenia in particular. Flora Vardanyan has included other patriotic demands and initiatives in the group, such as WRITING ARMENIAN LETTERS in the GROUP is mandatory, or the amount of paid notes on Armenian products is transferred to the “Support to Wounded Soldiers-Military Disabled” NGO.

“A drop of water pierces a stone,” says Flora Vardanyan, using any useful initiative in a country weakened by war and pandemic. This  lively, life-loving and patriotic woman tells WomenNet.am about her initiatives.

‘’I am he founder of the “Origanum” brand, which is a social enterprise, said that it is aimed at coloring people’s daily lives. Well, we color as much as we can. However, the fact that several women in Vanadzor are able to earn extra income by being in their preferred place and acting at their own convenience, we teach people with basic knowledge of handicrafts how to get products.

“I created the” For Armenian “Facebook group, the” Armenian Brand “Facebook page. Both have a history of about five years. Both are information platforms to present the Armenian, to highlight the advantages and disadvantages, to keep in touch with the producers. I keep in touch with the producers. Fortunately for us, the vast majority of producers have an adequate attitude to criticism.

We have a special” Artsakh “category in the group. Almost everything produced in Artsakh is presented here: there is Artsakh chocolate, wines, teas, jewelry, cheese and soaps.

“Any small initiative benefits the country in one way or another. Given this, these initiatives will be continuous.
