Material and Information Support for Pregnant Women

The government has expanded the scope of the 7th social assistance measures, with the number of initially 3,800 pregnant women beneficiaries expected to reach 8,000. The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Zaruhi Batoyan stated this at today’s sitting of the government.

 

According to the changes, in the framework of measures to neutralize the problems with the coronavirus, also one-time support will be provided to pregnant women whose husbands were not only fired during the coronavirus, but also did not work before.

 

The Minister reminded that there is no need to accept applications to use the programs of the 4th, 6th and 7th  measures.

Fill in your name, surname, social security card number or the reference number for not having a social security card. If you are a beneficiary, the search will indicate the name of the bank to which the money was transferred. With an identity document, you can approach any branch of the bank to receive the money.

 

It should be reminded that a pregnant woman (at least 12 weeks and no more than 34 weeks of pregnancy) can become a beneficiary of the 7th program of activities if she does not work as of March 30, 2020, and her  husband does not work as of March 30, 2020 –  is not a salaried employee, is not an individual entrepreneur (PE) or, if applicable, has been suspended as of March 30, 2020. Moreover, in the sense of the procedure for implementation of this decision, a person working on the basis of a civil law contract or providing a service is not considered an employee.

 

Support will be provided also to pregnant women who are single, unmarried, divorced or whose husbands dead, and they don’t work as of March 30, 2020.

The money will be paid in cash, one-time. It cannot be detained, confiscated or offset against the beneficiary’s monetary obligations.

 

If the beneficiary does not submit a claim to the bank within 3 months after transferring the money to the bank account, it shall be returned to the state budget of the Republic of Armenia.
