CEC releases report for 2018 Summary data on the participation of men and women in the electoral process
The Central Election Commission has published a brochure “Statistics: Men’s and women’s participation in 2018 electoral processes. For the first time, gender-disaggregated data on all participants in the electoral process, including voters, candidates, election commission members, technical experts, observers, journalists, is presented.
The brochure summarizes the events of 2018: data on the participation of women and men in snap parliamentary elections and local government elections. The data of the members elected in the local self-government bodies for 2019 are also presented as of April.
The brochure was published by the Central Election Commission of Armenia (CEC) with the support of the Electoral Support Project in Armenia (ESPA) program. The ESPA project is funded by the Governments of the European Union, the Federal Republic of Germany, the United Kingdom, Northern Ireland, Sweden and the Republic of Armenia and is implemented by the UNDP Armenia Office.
