Mariam Tsatryan: “Fighting through rating system is difficult, but can be overcome”

Mariam Tsatryan, 25, has been nominated as a candidate for parliament by the “My Step” alliance’s territorial electoral district # 12, which includes Vayots Dzor and Syunik regions.

According to Mariam, our society has awakened from a long stroke: “The 20-year-old dictatorship has fallen. The most important test for any revolution is its immediate success. Now we are at the start of this stage and have come to bear responsibility and I do not avoid it. There is an opportunity to raise the problems inherited from the high podium and find solutions for them. I am ready for it. ”

A young activist in the election trolley says the fight for a female candidate is a challenge, but it’s hard to overcome. In Mary’s opinion, people often see the image of leading women at the age of 35-40, but at 25 they are attempting to break down their bravery and stereotypes, and in Syunik, in their words, in a familiar environment: “The December 9 results will show how it has succeeded and how far have I been perceived. ”

In response to our question, how Maryam responds to the voter, she is sincere. “You know, I do not make artificial accents in the election campaign. I’m trying to be straightforward, simple, and armed with patience. People here do not know me. And most importantly, I have not been isolated from the problems of the region; I have always been in touch with the public in different formats. ”

In the framework of her pre-election campaign, Mariam also draws attention to the extremely sensitive issue for our society. “The number one issue for me and the issue that is the basis of Armenia’s existence is the issue of Nagorno Karabakh, the problem of peace.”
