At Yerevan city council session sexist slogans were heard. “Yerkir Tsirani”
Yerevan City Council “Yerkir Tsirani” faction issued a statement regarding violations occurred on June 16th, and the reappointment of four deputy mayors in a meeting of the City Council, which according to the faction is against the residents’ interests, as these same deputies who by their work in the City Hall damaged townspeople. Among other issues, including gender-based discrimination faction also noted sexist calls that were heard at the session hall.
“Yerkir Tsirani” faction expressed its concern about regulatory issues, non efficient and effective use of budget means and other forms of discrimination against them, for example, issue of limitations during the session as well as notification of the session.
