I appeared in IT field by “fate” Amalia Yeghoyan
Amalia Yeghoyan is an executive director of the Gyumri Information Technologies Center. According to her she appeared in IT industry by “fate” but she has never complained on that fate for any moment.
A linguist by profession, graduated from the English Language Department of Gyumri State Pedagogical Institute. The last year of studies in 2006, she was accepted to work as an assistant of the head of Gyumri IT Center. She did not have high hopes that she will ever succeed in this field, but was invited to work after a successful round of interviews. “I was chosen after three interviews with the director and founder, and did not expect a positive outcome. Initially coordinated educational programs, student-teacher relationship”, – says Amalia Yeghoyan.
Starting as an administrative assistant, and shortly after she became the coordinator of educational programs, then deputy director and finally Executive Director. Amalia confesses that initially it was very difficult for her, but she overcame it thanks to good leadership, good staff. ” I have received only support and they would not allow me to deepen my fears. The executive director of the Gyumri Information Technologies Center is pleased to note that 100 percent of graduates are working in the field of information, and the most important achievement is the fact that 70% of graduates are working in Gyumri. He said that in 12 years they had 2000 graduates who now work with the best companies in Armenia.
