Anush Aslanyan: “I like taking a risk”

The founder and president of “Equal rights, equal opportunities,”  NGO operating nearly three years  in Lori, 25-year-old Anush Aslanyan is presented in the upcoming parliamentary elections in the rating list of “Tsarukyan” Aliance for the 9th District.  She says she initially had no intention to enter politics and run candidacy, but she made the decision after receiving the alliance proposal.

“Our organization is engaged in the problems of people with disabilities. There are many problems related to them … laws on persons with disabilities were being developed, deciding what they need, then they would say, ‘Oh, we have done wrong, you must first conduct survey. Perhaps that was why I thought it would be good that there are also persons with disabilities in the National Assembly who are familiar with the problems inside and can fully represent issues. I thought that I will support that candidate, who is in this area and  has some experience in politics, “she recalls.

Later, they started to actively discuss the issue during various workshops, meetings with  members of NGOs. While active discussions were under way, she is getting an offer from “Tsarukyan” Alliance. She says that entering the politics scared her from at the first glance, but being adventurous by nature, she decided to try the forces. “I like to take risks. I could then feel sorry that I had a possibility, but I did not use it. So I decided to try”, – she said.
