Aurora dialogues: “I call not to use refugees for political agenda purposes”

 

Today, during the discussions – Aurora Dialogues held at Matenadaran namerd after Mesrop Mashtots, results of The Humanitarian Index (indicator of humanism) first annual global survey issued by Aurora” award were presented.

 

The study examines the worldwide humanitarian crises, their causes and those who are able to solve them. All surveyed 4,600 respondents from US, UK, France, Germany, Lebanon and Iran among the series of urgent humanitarian challenges for the next five years first mentioned terrorism, then, forced migration.

 

“It is not the first time we face the displacement crisis, but after World War II deportations was not at such a high level as today,” said David Tolberte  – President of the International Center for Transitional Justice (ICTJ) during the discussions.

 

According to him, this displacement is a result of a deliberate policy, severe violations of human rights, and the result of the failure of some policies. David Tolbert believes that crisis is due to the failure of the policy by the international community, as a player.

 

“Today there is a tendency to use the refugees for political agendas. This is the most repressive thing that anyone can afford. I call from here, use refugees for political agendas. It is a dangerous thing. Refugees are real people, women, children, the need to take care of them, “Hina Jilani said.
