Public Presentation on the Gender Gap in Armenia
The College of Humanities & Social Sciences has invited The UN agencies of UNFPA/UNDP/UNHCR/UNICEF to present their recent research and survey results to demonstrate current issues regarding gender roles in economic, political and public life, sex selective abortions, domestic violence, participation of women in local governance and other social conflicts which widen the gender gap in Armenia, while at the same time, to pay tribute to refugee and displaced women for their courage and willingness to build a new life in our country, and reflect on the positive developments among displaced women entrepreneurs who have become self-reliant by doing business in Armenia.
