This year alone, 7 women have become victims of domestic violence
Hundreds of cases of domestic, sexual, physical, psychological violence against women have been registered during ten months of this year. We are talking about domestic violence the main victims of which are women. As a result of the violence, during the same period women have been killed… Representing this sad statistics, organizations dealing with the issue of violence against women try to answer a series of questions: what is the situation in Armenia with regards to violence against women? Where we have reached in the fight against this negative phenomenon? Why the law is delayed?
The press conference was held in the Media Center on the occasion of the International day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
