Tevan Poghosyan: My daughters
This story was submitted for the essay contest “My daughters” announced by the UN Population Fund and Mediamax. The authors are fathers who tell about their daughters. We were especially interested in a story represented by Tevan Poghosyan, as we referred to his family 8 years ago in one of the issues of our newspaper “Woman and Politics”. At that time, they were six, the smallest was not born yet, Tevan Poghosyan was not a deputy and our newspaper was not colorful…
He tells about his feelings when he became a father and says that there is no more happiness than to realize that your identity and values will continue in other generations. “Each time after celebrating the birth of my daughters, when I used to go home drunk, it was the consciousness that something special has taken place, that sobered up me. It is a feeling completely unknown to a father of he has no daughter”.
