“Woman” XII International Film Festival in Yerevan

The traditional festival aims to reinvent the role and place of a woman in society, highlight their problems through cinema, to form a new view, which will contribute to the promotion of films created by women disclosure of new names, as well as inter-perception of different cultures.

This year’s program will be devoted to Arshaluys Martikanyan.

On November 5^th at 10 am round table will be organized on the topic “Woman – movie- literature” where current issues of cinema and literature will be discussed.

On November 6, at 11 am a master class will be organized at Yerevan State Cinema of Theatre and Cinema with the member of jury Swedish Karina Ekberg.

Parallel screenings will be organized in Metronom, in newly opened passage of Abovyan street. Screening of the Russian films will be opened with Darya Khlestkina’s film –The last liumuzin.

The festival includes 72 films from 21 countries:

At the end of the festival the following awards will be awarded:

–         The best film

–         Special award

–         Diplomas

–         Best Russian film prize is given by Rossotrudnichestvo
