How gender equality contributes to the development of the country

Discussions and debates on the issue of gender equality especially intensified in 2013 when the Governments should make important decisions on external policies – to follow the way of European integration or establish close ties with Russian. In that period the trend emerged when the issue of gender equality was manipulated for the purpose of direct or indirect criticize.

As a result, the broad masses of the society expressed negative attitude not only towards the concept of equality of sexes, but also towards gender term in general. Meanwhile, for years a number of local and international organizations have been trying to make it understandable for society what gender equality is and what impact it can have on the state and every citizen.

In order to have an imagination about the impact of gender equality on the state, we can just compare the countries with the highest rate with those with the lowest one.
