Journalism contest of child health and nutrition issues coverage
United Nations Children’s Fund and World Vision announce
journalism contest of child health, nutrition and care issues coverage.
The purpose is to encourage journalists to refer to issues of child health and nutrition more often.
The contest is held within the framework of the program “Babies and children health and nutrition improvement” funded by USA International development agency.
The program is implemented by UNICEF together with RA Ministry of Healthcare and World vision Armenia. The project aims to reduce malnutrition of children and women during the first 1000 days including pregnancy and the first two years of life.
2 tablets and 6 prizes are intended for the best coverage of child health, nutrition and care topics.
Workers of the Armenian online, printed and broadcast media, as well as independent journalists may claim for prizes.
Materials represented for the contest should be published from August 1st of 2015 September 30.
Materials may be represented in the following genres of journalism:
1) TV program
2) Radio program
3) Printed article
4) Online article
5) Public report/Blog article
6) Photo report
The main assessment criteria are integrity, commitment to the principles of journalistic ethics, accurate and affordable speech, a deep understanding of the subject and approach leading society to the action.
Applications should be submitted until October 10 of 2015 to Armenian office of World Vision (Romanos Melikyan 1, Yerevan) or send to electronic address wvarmenia@wvi.org with the title “Application for journalistic contest”. Name and surname of the author, telephone number and media should be mentioned in the letter.
The results will be summarized until October 25th.
