Secrets of the French “baby boom”
Over the past ten years, the Japanese and South Korean politicians and scholars most often regularly visit the French National Institute for Demographic Research, understand the secret of reproductive growth in France, the «The Guardian» reports.
Institute researchers show graphs explaining the birth and growth policy implemented by the French government. “In the last 4-5 years we have had 10 Korea delegations. The Asian specialists following decline in population want to understand the “recipe” which allowed us to provide the highest birth rate in Europe, France, next to Ireland”, – said demographer Olivier Tevenon.
In an interview with «The Guardian» newspaper, he says. “Germany is a strong man of Europe for the economy, but when it comes to demography, France in our success woman”.
The publication notes that in early 2000s birth rate in France was at the top ranking positions. In 2014 French children per woman fell to 2.01, which allow us to provide stable reproduction of the population.
