It is not a secret that our compatriots coming from Syria brought with them new life and colors. And it is not just about the fact that if we could meet sporadic Syrian dishes in rare shops now we can see a lot of them… Womennet.am’s interlocutor Talin Margaryan is one of those women who found strength to start a new life in their country.
In Aleppo she was known as «Matar Talin». Why? She says that in Arabian matar means airport. As it turned out, our compatriot used to be a deputy director of Aleppo airport, and the only Armenian and Christian working at that structure. Talin Margaryan’s routine had been so different during 17-year-period – official and business meetings, negitiations , etc… Today she has another routne.
Circumstances made her leave Aleppo and settle in motherland, together with her family. She says that from the first moment she has not felt any enstangement because she had always been in contact with motherland. She used to visit Armenia several times a year and had a dream to come back to live here but she would never think that it would be in such a cruel manner.
War made them leave Aleppo and now she speaks about their home with tears in her eyes – it is completely destroyed…
Today Talin earns her living by preparing sweets and dishes. Those who know her tell that Talin makes wonders in the kitchen.
