Elderly sustainable development agenda
In today’s world, people are living longer than ever before. Every 2 seconds a person to enter their 60th anniversary. Over the past three decades, 60 year-old world population doubled later, and in 2050 the proportion of elderly will grow twice.
Today, there are 901 million people at the age of 60 worldwide. United Nations Population Fund, details the number will reach 2 billion in 2050, making up more than 20 percent of the world population. Or 12.9% of the permanent population of about 387 thousand members are elderly people and this number tends to grow.
Aging was published last year in the context of the review of the index / Global Age Watch Index- goals of sustainable development and the aging index and Active / Active Ageing Index /, based on the ranking of the best countries for the elderly. The experts were taken into account in determining the rating of the quality of life of the elderly four factors: income, health, skills and the environment.
