Sabiha or Khatun: broken destinies of orphans

It is known that one of the underlying reasons of Hrant Dink’s death was his article “The secret of Sabiha -Khatun”. In the issue of 2004, Februyary 6 Hrant Dink reveals that Turkey’s legendary female fight pilot Sabiha Gyokchen was Armenian. The first president of Turkey adopted her as thousands of orphaned children were in orphanages after the Armenian genocide. According to Dink the name of a little Armenian girl was Khatun Sebiljyan and her relatives live in Armenia. It is noteworthy that after the publication of the article prosecutions launched against Dink and Turkish armed forces demanded explanations from him.
