Charlez Aznavour has made an appeal to help the refugees arriving in Europe
World famous singer made this remark in the interview with Agence France Press, – reports Armenpress.
“I am experiencing severe distress when I see the crowds of people wandering with their children. Fortunately, I have not tasted sorrows of the state, but I am sure that my immigrant parents experienced it. We need to take care of their future, improve their situation.
In this regard, he recalled the idea which he has already proposed – to settle immigrants in remote areas, small towns and villages of France, which are practically abandoned by local residents.
“Thus, these homes will be equipped with new force. Among these migrants, there are people of various professions – doctors, bakers. Their efforts will allow reopening schools, post offices”, – says 91-year-old singer.
Aznavour stressed that in case of implementation of such a program France is pointed as an exemplary country. “I am sure that it should be done so”, – said world famous singer. He does not exclude that he will participate in creation of a song on this topic together with a group of singers and composers, as it was in 1989, when such a song was created within the framework of a program supporting Armenia, which was suffered from the earthquake.
