November 19 is the International Men’s Day
Every year on November 19th, International Men’s Day is celebrated in many countries around the world. The idea originated in Trinidad and Tobago, and later spread to Australia, the Caribbean, North America, Asia, Europe and many other countries.
Dr. Jerome Tiluksinghomn conceived the idea of this is to justify its decision. “I have learned is that there is no day for men … some will say that there is Father’s Day, but what about the boys, and the young men who are not fathers.” Tiluksinghomn choose to celebrate his father’s birthday, November 19th , in the belief that he was an exemplary man and a father.
International Men’s Day is meant to draw public attention to the role of men in the family and in the upbringing of children, men and boys health problem, talk about the practices of gender discrimination, the impact of men on gender stereotypes and promote gender equality.
