Child poverty
3,3% of the children under 18 live in extreme poverty, 34% in poverty, while the population is extremely poor and poor respectively 2,3% and 30%. In other words, children are more vulnerable to the risk of poverty than the population as a whole. 41% of all children live in households where the head is unemployed.
Families with more children are more likely to be poor. Households with one or more children with disabilities are more likely to be poor.
Poor children often live in homes lacking important accommodation facilities, kitchen with running water, centralized gas supply, without shower, etc.
