Hermine Naghdalyan granted title of PACE Honourary Member
On January 21, the Vice President of the Armenian National Assembly, former member of the RA NA Delegation to the Parliamnetary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Hermine Naghdalyan was granted the title of Honorary Member and Medal of the PACE by PACE President Jean-Claude Mignon for long-term activity and effective work in the PACE, reports the Press Service of the Armenian National Assembly.
The PACE former Presidents Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and René van der Linden, PACE delegates attended the award-giving ceremony.
In his speech, Jean-Claude Mignon thanked Mrs Naghdalyan for practical work and efforts made in the PACE. He highlighted the NA Vice President’s activity fulfilled in the PACE Committee on Equal Opportunities for Women and Men, particularly the report on the theme “The Women’s Impoverishment.”
Touching upon Mrs Naghdalyan’s activity in the PACE Committee on Economic Affairs and Development, as well as in the post of Chairperson, particularly a number of authored reports, as: “The Activity of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development,” “Restoration of Social Justice Through the Taxation of Financial Deals,” “More Women in the Decision-Making Bodies on Economic and Social Affairs” Jean-Claude Mignon highly assessed Mrs Naghdalyan’s rich knowledge and achievements obtained in the sphere of economics, as well as her contribution in the formation of the CoE economic agenda and policy.
